Note: This feature is only supported for businesses using Availability Planning reservation management. To learn about releasing reservation availability for Blueprints, visit Releasing Reservation Availability for Blueprints.

Publishing a Schedule applies availability to specific dates on your Timeline. These reservations are bookable by your internal team, but they won’t be bookable online until you release reservation availability to the public.

To ensure your Availability is bookable online:

  • Switch the Availability toggle on.
  • Set the Availability release date range.
  • Set the Availability cut-off.
  • Set the Experience visibility.

Turning all Availability on or off

This controls Availability for all offerings. Disabling Availability hides all Experiences and Events from your business page, showing guests that "Reservations are unavailable."

To turn Availability on or off:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Availability.
  2. Switch the Availability toggle on or off.

Releasing availability for guests to book online

You can release reservations manually or automatically on a rolling release. Reservations through the date selected will be visible and bookable by your guests online. If you set a release date beyond the dates of your published Schedule, no availability will be shown to your guests for those dates. Remember to publish your Schedule far enough into the future.

To manually release availability for guests to book online:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Availability.
  2. Click Manual date range.
  3. Click a date in the future, then click Update availability.

To automatically release availability for guests to book online:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Availability.
  2. Click Automated Rolling Dates.
  3. Select the automatic availability window date range and release time, then click Update availability.

Scheduling releases

Tock can automatically schedule the release of availability. First, ensure your Schedule is published far enough into the future.

 To schedule releases:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Availability.
  2. Click Add release.
  3. Select a date and time to release new reservations, as well as the date you'd like to open reservations until.
  4. Click Preview release to review settings.
  5. Click Schedule release.

Setting an Availability cutoff time

The Availability cutoff time stops bookings from being made relative to the date and time of the booking. Cutoffs can be set globally for all Experiences using the default setting, or within the individual Experience.

There are two types of cutoff options:

  • Based on an amount of time prior to the reservation time - Choose a time between 10 minutes or up to 6 hours before the reservation time.
  • Based on the number of days and time of day prior to the reservation time - Choose a time between same day cutoff or up to five weeks before the reservation time.

To set a global default cutoff:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Availability.
  2. Scroll to the Availability cutoff section.
  3. Select the cutoff time.
  4. Click Save.

To set an Experience-level cutoff:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Experiences, then select an experience.
  2. From the General Information tab within the Experience, scroll to the Experience availability cutoff section.
  3. Select the cutoff time.
  4. Click Save.

Enabling Experience visibility

Experiences must have visibility enabled for guests to book.

To enable Experience visibility:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Experiences.
  2. Click the Experience, then click Visibility and Access.
  3. Switch the Experience visibility toggle on.
  4. Click Save.

View configuring visibility and access to set up different types of visibility and access per Experience.
