There are two options for transferring bookings in Tock. The reservation owner can either book on behalf of another person, or transfer the booking to a new owner.

Change guest

A guest may wish to retain ownership of their reservation but change who will be attending the visit. This request is common for administrative assistants and concierges. The reservation owner will continue to receive all communication for this event, while the new guest, including their notes and tags, will be shown within the reservation.

Change owner

A guest can transfer their ticket to another person through their Tock profile, or you can do so on their behalf from the Dashboard.

Transferring a ticket

  1. From the Reservations tab, click Timeline or Guest List.
  2. Use the date picker to go to the event date.
  3. Click the reservation name under Guest.
  4. Click the down arrow to the right of the Edit button.
  5. Click Transfer.
  6. Select to either change the guest or to transfer ownership.
  7. Follow additional steps to complete the transfer.

If the transfer includes an exchange of money, after initiating the transfer from Dashboard, an email will be sent to the original owner to verify the transfer. Once the reservation owner verifies the transfer, the new owner will receive an invitation to accept and complete the transfer. The new owner has twenty-four hours to accept the invitation.
