Transferring allows guests to gift or sell their booking for any amount up to the original purchase price.

Understanding the Types of Transfers

There are two different types of transfers on Tock: changing the guest and changing the the booking owner.

Change guest

With this option, change the name of the person attending the visit while allowing the original purchaser to retain ownership of the booking. This request common for administrative assistants and concierges. The reservation owner will continue to receive all communication for this event, while the new guest, including their notes and tags, will be shown within the reservation.

Change owner

If a guest would like to transfer their reservation to another person, they may do so through their Tock profile or you may also do this for them from Dashboard.

Transferring a booking

To transfer a guest's booking on your Dashboard:

  1. From the Timeline or Service tab, click on the booking within the Guest list.
  2. In the reservation panel, click the down arrow next to Edit.
  3. Click Transfer.
  4. Click either Change guest or Change owner.
  5. Fill in the fields on the next screen to complete the transfer.

If the transfer includes an exchange of money, after initiating the transfer from Dashboard, an email will be sent to the original owner asking them to verify the transfer. Once the reservation owner verifies the transfer, the new owner will receive an invitation to accept and complete the transfer. The new owner has twenty-four hours to accept the invitation.
