Tock integrates with 3rd party service Uber to provide delivery to your customers at no cost to you.

  • Seamless integration (API) between Tock and Uber.

1 Radius: Within 5 miles of your business, except in Manhattan ($5.75 up to 3.73 miles with the delivery required to originate and end within Manhattan). Deliveries are not permitted to cross a toll bridge.2 Businesses in Seattle, WA are not eligible to utilize third party delivery fulfillment (DoorDash and UberEats).

Creating a Delivery Experience (fulfilled by Uber)

Add a phone number in case the Uber driver needs to contact your team with questions.

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click Business Page.
  2. Scroll down to Guest Contact, add a phone number.
  3. Click Save.

Once a phone number is populated, create a delivery experience fulfilled by Uber:

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click To Go.
  2.  Click Add new experience in the top-right
  3. In the Reservation type section, select Pre-paid delivery
  4. In the How will you handle this delivery? section, select Use the Uber delivery network, then confirm the phone number.
  5. Name your offering, select the Services it will be available, and identify the order type (A la carte, Pre-fixe or Package).
  6. Configure your To Go inventory. For more information, view the Setting up To Go inventory article.
  7. Select the box to accept Uber’s terms of service, then click Accept and continue.
  8. To update an existing experience to Uber delivery, click the 3 horizontal dots and duplicate the offering. Once duplicated, follow the steps above to use the Uber delivery network.

Setting prep time for delivery

Identify the amount of time it'll take your kitchen staff to prepare an order, and calculate this into your cutoff time.

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click To Go.
  2. Click on your To Go offering, then click General Information.
  3. Scroll down to Customize availability.
  4. Set your Experience availability cutoff.

Managing Delivery orders (fulfilled by Uber)

To access delivery orders:

  1. From the Reservations tab, click Timeline or Service.
  2. Click the Orders. Once a guest places a delivery order, it'll be listed alongside your pickup orders, labeled as Uber Delivery.

Understanding statuses for orders (fulfilled by Uber)

Each Uber Delivery order will automatically update in Tock with the following statuses:

  • Unscheduled - the order is outside the Uber scheduling window. As the order date approaches, Uber will change the status to scheduled.
  • Scheduled - the order has been scheduled.
  • Assigned - Uber has assigned a delivery driver to the order.
  • Picked Up - the Uber delivery driver has picked up the order and is en route to the diner.
  • Delivered - the Uber delivery driver has delivered the order to the diner.
  • Cancelled - the delivery order has been cancelled.
