There are a few options for allowing your guests to customize To Go orders.

Use add-on limits to force a required choice

If your To Go offering requires a selection from guests, set limits at the Add-on group level. This can be useful for pre fixe offerings where guests select from multiple options for each course.

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click To Go.
  2. Open your To Go offering, then click Add-ons.
  3. Click Create new add-on group.
  4. Under Selection limit, choose whether the choice is per-person or per-party.
  5. Check the appropriate radio boxes to make the choice required.
  6. Click Create.

Create a modifier

Add optional modifiers to your add-ons (for instance, a choice of temperature for their protein, or toppings for their pizza).

  1. From the Control Panel tab, click To Go.
  2. Open your To Go offering, then click Add-ons.
  3. Once you've created an Add-on group and Add-on within that group, click Create modifier.
  4. Choose whether the modifier is Optional or Required.
  5. Choose whether the modifier will be a single choice, or enter in a number of allowable choices.
  6. Enter your first option name and associated price, then click Add another option, if necessary.
  7. Click Create.

Create an add-on group for extras

You may want to offer extras that aren't necessarily attached to a menu item; for example, extra rice or utensils. Create as many add-on groups as you need, then drag-and-drop them to organize where they show up on the page.

Use pre-visit questions for optional communication

To allow guests to type in their own modifications, create a pre-visit questionnaire. The responses won't be required, but the questions are fully customizable with no limits for your guest's response.
